Comfrig S.A. is a company specializing in the storage and preservation of fish products and frozen food products and has the total area of 26,000㎥ with the storage capacity of 9,000 tons. It has 6 large cold storages which can be controlled in temperature from 15℃ to minus 30℃. It also owns largescale warehouses for storing machinery and ships’ equipment.
As Comfrig S. A. is located in the Port of Montevideo, Uruguay and is also the only low temperature cold storage in Uruguay, we, have many customers.

Keeping products under various range of temperatures -
Comfrig S.A is a company specializing in the storage and preservation of fish products and frozen food products. It stores all kinds of products ranging from not only the fish products but also  meat, vegetables and fruits, from super low freezing to simple low temperatures.

Location benefits –
As it is located inside Montevideo Port, it can provide rapid services to shipping going to and from the port. In addition, with the cooperation of Port Management Administration of Uruguay, and many customs clearance service providers, the products can be handled in fast and correct way.

Sanitized storage facility –
Comfrig S.A handles the products using safe and hygienic work processes to keep customer’s products in a safe and optimal state. The cold storage is managed in a strictly sanitation criteria that it immediately disposes any wastes and scraps which may be generated through sanitization process during transportation. In addition, in meeting the EU’s cold storage registration standards, it has enhanced its hygienic environmental criteria one step further.

Evolved facility –
By expanding the power generation facility and replacing the old and obsolete machinery with new ones, it has the cold storage which can keep all products under best temperatures. In addition, as it has many professional engineers and forklifts for transportation of products, it provides the best services to the preservation of frozen products.
 

Social Contribution

Comfrig S.A actively conducts community service activities in Uruguay. Through the community service activities participated every month by all members of the company, the company provides help to poor people in Uruguay and sponsors the sports events and social events held in local communities for the development of Uruguay. Comfrig S.A is broadening its contribution activities to local communities, not forgetting its social responsibilities.

Comfrig S.A. has constructed a good cooperative relationship with various local companies which has led to a synergy between its partners. Not only has it a good relationship with the Uruguay Government, including the Port Management Administration. but it also handles many customs clearance services in cooperation with transportation companies, hygienic and sanitation companies and local lawyers. By constructing the international partnership as well as domestic partnership in Uruguay, it makes every effort to become the best storage facility.
It has a container storage area of 1,000㎡ near the cold storage and the power plug outlets for refrigerated container, which have been approved by Minister of Agricultural and Livestock Department of Uruguay.
